Two of the major contenders for the Top 4 in the England Premier League Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are facing each other at the White Hart Lane in London.
Tottenham are aiming to record a second straight win in the League, after beating Crystal Palace with just one goal margin last week, while Liverpool will try to bounce back from the dissapointing performance and loss aganst Burnley.
The home team will be without its captain Hugo Lloris, who is still injured. Instead of him, we will watch in action Michel Vorm, who will put the gloves again for his team. This is the only serious problem for Spurs’ manager Mauricio Pochettino, if we don’t count Moussa Dembele’s suspension as well.
Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp has to deal with some problems in assembling his squad for the game as well. Joe Gomez, Lucas Leiva, Mamadou Sakho, Sheyi Ojo and Loris Karius are all going to miss the match with injures, while Emre Can, Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi are all doubtful.
It’s interesting to see how Mauricio Pochettino’s tactical innovations will work out for Tottenham this season. The Argentinian manager gave a supporting striker role to his main goalscorer Harry Kane, while since the beginning of the campaign we are watching the new signing Vincent Janssen being the main striker for the Londoners. The Dutch forward still awaits his first Premier League goal, so what’s better than scoring for frist time against a team like Liverpool?
Roberto Firmino is about to lead Liverpool’s attack at the White Hart Lane, while Philippe Coutinho, if he’s ready, and Daniel Sturridge are expected to support the Brazilian striker. Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana will have to deal with Tottenham’s strong midfield.
This game could go either way really, so be careful if you plan to predict the actual winner of the match. In this case, both teams to score looks like a much more safe bet for a game, in which we all expect to see some goals being scored.
