Get yourself ready for action, because it’s time for the first Derby of Manchester in the English Premier League since the start of the new season!
Manchester United are hosting their city rival Manchester City at the Old Trafford. Both teams are being perfect so far in the Premier League, winning 9 points out of 9, so it’s just another reason to expect this clash even more.
It’s even better now, because the old rivals Jose Mourinho and Josep Guardiola are about to renew their legendary rivalry. Arguably two of the best managers in the world right now, Mourinho and Guardiola had an intense rivalry during their times in Spanish football, where Mourinho was leading Real Madrid and Guardiola was winning trophy after trophy in Barcelona.
For the last time they met in 2013, when Guardiola’s Bayern beat Mourinho’s Chelsea after penalties for the European Super Cup.
It was a great start for Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola in the English Premier League. Manchester United and Manchester City won all of their first three games in the league so far, so now one of these teams will lose first points since the beginning of the new campaign. Alongside Chelsea, these are the teams who are labeled as the big favourites for the Premier League crown this season.
Manchester United are once again going to rely on their summer signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, who are already making a big impact on their new teams. Ibrahimovic scored three goals in his first three Premier League games, while the most expensive player in history Paul Pogba is already starting to find his place in Mourinho’s starting eleven.
The big problem for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola is the absence of Sergio Aguero, who is suspended for the game. It won’t be surprising if Guardiola picks the talented Kelechi Iheanacho for the game. Some people expect to see the Spaniard choosing once again his favourite “false 9” tactics with somebody between David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Nolito being placed at this position.
Prediction: It’s a very difficult game to predict, if you want to pick a winner. We advice you not to do it, because these game could really go in every possible way. You could try a both teams to score, because we expect to see some goals beign scored at the Old Trafford.
