It was a great start for Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola in the English Premier League. Manchester United and Manchester City won all of their first three games in the league so far, so now one of these teams will lose first points since the beginning of the new campaign. Alongside Chelsea, these are the teams who are labeled as the big favourites for the Premier League crown this season.
Manchester United are once again going to rely on their summer signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, who are already making a big impact on their new teams. Ibrahimovic scored three goals in his first three Premier League games, while the most expensive player in history Paul Pogba is already starting to find his place in Mourinho’s starting eleven.
The big problem for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola is the absence of Sergio Aguero, who is suspended for the game. It won’t be surprising if Guardiola picks the talented Kelechi Iheanacho for the game. Some people expect to see the Spaniard choosing once again his favourite “false 9” tactics with somebody between David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Nolito being placed at this position.
